Dreamer: Choral Arts' new recording is available now!
We are thrilled to share that our new recording of "Dreamer" is now available for purchase on CD, digital download, and streaming! “Dreamer" pairs Music Director Anthony Blake Clark’s completion of the Mozart Requiem (K. 626) with “Portraits: Douglass and Tubman” by composer Jasmine Barnes (b. 1991) and is released by Acis productions.
Watch Now
Our Emmy® Award-winning episode of Artworks: Dreamer is available to watch now, streaming on MPT's website. This documentary features the original song cycle Portraits: Douglass and Tubman by Jasmine Barnes and was recorded live at our May 2022 Mozart's Requiem Reframed concert, where Barnes “delivered a keen sense of a journey toward the light, and we can never get enough of that.” (Tim Smith, former arts critic, Baltimore Sun)
23-24 Season: Resonance
In its 58th season, Baltimore Choral Arts explores works of great RESONANCE: Emotional resonance, acoustic resonance, and human resonance.
Our three-concert subscription series begins with the Brahms Ein Deutsches Requiem, paired with the heart wrenchingly beautiful Seven Last Words of the Unarmed by Joel Thompson to create a uniquely Human Requiem. We will once again present our annual Christmas with Choral Arts special, performed live in America's First Cathedral, the Baltimore Basilica. Later in the season we will explore works of great celebration as we contrast the Bach Magnificat with the Rutter Magnificat in Praise, Magnified.
Choral Arts Shorts
Choral Arts Shorts is our new mini-series highlighting past Baltimore Choral Arts performances. Our recent short features "Uf dem anger" from Carmina Burana.
Why We Sing
Watch the latest video of our new series Why We Sing, where we interview singers of Baltimore Choral Arts and share their stories of what singing means to them.
In support of Black Lives Matter
"Our nation and our great city have struggled to overcome racial inequity. We can all do something to ensure justice, and for my part, I hope our music can be one contribution. I hope Dr. King’s words in this piece resonate and I implore you to stand in solidarity with silenced and marginalized voices everywhere."
- Anthony Blake Clark, Music Director
